Reflections Kids Art Contest

September 21, 2018

Reflections is an annual national art contest for kids of all ages hosted by the Alpine and Nebo PTA association. Lulu's is so excited to show kids that art can be fun and help them learn. They'll learn about colors, contrasting space, using themes, different glazes, and much more.

Lulu's is helping kids create artwork that they can enter into the program for FREE. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, bring your kids in after school for about an hour where they can come in and put their idea onto a tile, free of charge. Parents can feel free to drop their kids off, or stay and see how it's done.

So kids are more prepared to create their awesome artwork, they should come with a 6x6 pencil, colored pencil, crayon, marker, or preferred tool draft. This years theme is "Heroes Around Us". Help your kids find a local hero that inspires them like a firefighter, police officer, teacher, or parent.

The Reflections Art Contest has been recognized around the country for 50 years. It isn't only fun for kids, but can bring back nostalgia for parents too. Watching their kids enter the same art contest they entered can be incredibly fun. It's great for kids because it might be the first time they've displayed their art publicly, not just to their parents.

If you want your kids to enter, visit www.utahpta.org/reflections for the official rules and entry forms.
